Study Skills Coaching with Juliet Landau-Pope PCC

🟩 Stressed about GCSE or A Levels?
πŸŸͺ Anxious about university assignments or exams?
🟨 Preparing for postgrad training or professional exams?

For students of all ages, exams are a major source of anxiety.

Despite an abundance of available resources, from stylish stationery to artful apps, the problem is often not knowing HOW to revise. Where to start? How to deal with overwhelm? And how to improve focus and deal with distractions? These challenges are particularly acute for students affected by ADHD or chronic disorganisation.

Study skills coaching helps students become more organised, manage time more effectively and revise with confidence while juggling other commitments from sport and music to societies and part-time work. Whether you (or your son/daughter) are preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, university exams or professional qualifications, coaching provides personalised guidance and support to build skills for life, not just for exam success.

Juliet helped my daughter develop practical revision strategies, introduced excellent resources, and showed her how to plan realistic revision timetables that balanced different subjects without becoming overwhelming. Her advice was always tailored to my daughter’s needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Will you help my child study independently, so I don’t have to keep nagging them?2026-08-12T00:13:12+01:00

Through coaching, students learn to plan realistic revision schedules, break tasks into manageable steps and notice when they’re avoiding work, all skills that reduce reliance on parental reminders over time. I’ll keep you updated where relevant but the goal is for your child to build confidence and independence, not for you to be their study manager.

How do I know what kind of coaching is right for me?2026-08-07T01:06:19+01:00

I offer productivity coaching, study skills support, virtual organising, and specialist coaching for ADHD and chronic disorganisation, and many of these approaches overlap and can be combined. There’s no need to figure out the exact fit before getting in touch. During a free consultation, we’ll discuss your situation and explore what might suit you best. I’ll gladly answer any questions too, and all in strictest confidence.Β  Book a free consultation to get started.

Do you work with neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD?2026-07-13T13:21:40+01:00

Yes, certainly. I have specialist training in ADHD and chronic disorganisation, and many of the students and trainees I coach are neurodivergent. Drawing on research and years of experience, I’ll share a range of strategies and encourage you to experiment with new, more interesting ways of studying, rather than expecting you to fit a traditional mould.

Is study skills coaching the same as tutoring?2026-07-06T17:33:31+01:00

No. Tutoring focuses on teaching subject content, such as maths, English or science. Study skills coaching focuses on how to learn more effectively. This includes planning, organisation, time management, revision strategies and the executive functioning skills that support independent learning. It can be particularly helpful for students who understand the course material but struggle with organisation, focus or exam anxiety.

Where do you coach students?2026-07-11T20:53:10+01:00

I coach individual students across the UK and internationally online via Zoom, or sometimes in person in North London.

I also present talks and workshops in schools, colleges and universities, both online and in person.

What age groups do you work with?2017-12-21T20:18:17+00:00

I coach students from aged 14 upwards who are preparing for school or public exams.

I also coach university students and adults engaged in professional training.

How many coaching sessions will be needed?2026-07-11T20:54:45+01:00

I work with students for a minimum of two sessions, which is often enough to introduce key strategies and begin to develop routines. Some students benefit from a longer series of sessions, while others return for occasional follow-up or review sessions.

After the initial sessions, I review progress with the student and agree next steps, with feedback provided to parents or carers where appropriate.

When is the best time to learn study skills?2026-07-06T16:55:37+01:00

It’s never too early to develop effective learning and executive functioning skills, but I primarily work with teenagers, university students and adult learners. Study skills coaching can help students manage exam-related stress more effectively. It also supports a smoother transition to university and working life.

What feedback do you share with parents/carers?2017-12-21T20:21:38+00:00

After each session with a teenage client, I offer parents/carers a brief (10 minute) summary of topics discussed and suggestions for future actions.

I’ll also share tips for parents on how to help teenagers to become active, independent and motivated learners.

In addition, I run workshops for parents of teenagers to share more information about how to reduce stress before, during and after exams.
